Do anyone know if there is any good video card besides 8600gt low profile...? I've been looking around for good video cards but cant find any for a price range of $50-$150 USD. I don't really want it to be shipped from HK or anywhere mainly.. besides US... i only found HD2400PRO and 8500GT at newegg.. but dont know if they're good for gaming like call of duty 4 and 2.. 8600GT Slim Version(Low Profile) http://www.gfe.com.hk/Product_Details.asp?id=135 HD2400PRO Low Profile http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814103047 8500GT Low Profile.. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127301
are you building a pc or just getting one with your pc right now.. need to know what you have like pci e or agp and the power supply
280w psu i think and im using the one i have right now.. its pcie and i've been reading forums, dont need huge psu, ppl with 180w psu using 8500gt low profile no problem. which its on a hp slim case.. but my is a dell c521 with a 280w psu i think.. not sure about it.. too lazy to look... and if have to upgrade the psu.. i cant anyway.. no way i can find a bigger psu then 280w.. its like the biggest one out there for a dell c521.. i think the newer model 530/531s psu is even lesser than the one right now i have.. some people say it will be underclock.. but some people say its enough..
o and my computer spec are: AMD x2 4000+ 2.1ghz each 320gb hd 2gb ram 280w psu window vista preminum.. no upgrades at all, all stock.
don't think half height cards are good for new games such as call of duty 4...should've op for a better gaming pc if you wanted to play new games lol...
im a little too late though:( i had a choice between a c521 and a uhh dont know what was it e521? but... i choosed this one.. didnt know much about computer back then which was 5 months ago lol then finally know that the video cards are super hard to find... i've been asking my cousin to get me a 8600gt for a long time.. still no sign.. lol so thats why im asking.. i can get the 2400pro, 8500gt, or 2400xt at US.. which is online either on ebay or newegg..
^you can game with those cards, just not very well like NAS said, i doubt you will be able to find a decent low profile card tbh for now if anything id go with the 8600GT, but dont expect to play crysis on it.... call of duty 4 may just be ok, at medium settings.
yea.. i dont play games in high resolution mainly though.. since my monitor im using only goes up to 1280x1024.... not high.. lol
im not a serious gamer.. i just play for fun.. 8600gt can support dx10.. but kinda cost a lot.. but that seems to be like the best card out there for low profile.. 2400pro, 2400xt, and 8500gt no clue.. everyone just recommends 8600gt mainly..
too bad they dont sell x850xt on newegg anymore it would of been great for Fear, + you can get a cheap power supply on newegg hehe
thought you have that envision man.... anyways so the highest fear can run is 40 fps on average settings...i would expect cod4 to take more power since it's newer sorry if i'm wrong...but i dunno there's no point in really playing new games if you can't handle higher res and it will lag.
lol the envision might be my tv instead now my dad planning to put it in my room instead of using it for comp lolz
i saw...if your really keen on gaming on your computer, you should opt out for a decent graphic card. Like the new ati cards or the 8800gt stuff from nvidia...if your not ...then i think its best to not get it at all =p crappy graphics suks...then later on the line want to play for instance Crysis and your like wtf at high res.
my comp cant use regular size car.. sigh.. wish it was able to use full size card instead of low profile..
here we go again with the pc specs lol i need a new pc tbh 4200 x2 1gb ram 7600 gs not good enough for me
