Mad Catz has created 2 joysticks for Street Fighter IV game: A regular version and a tournament version. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GSam0NPwgqo How much do they cost in your country? In HK, they are asking 885 HKD for the regular version That is just a rip-off
150 AUD for the tournament one. around 110 to 130 for the regular one too. Like I said, gonna get those 40bucks one and mod it with sanwa parts, wish me luck on that LOL
Are you sure about the prices? I thought the Tournament is 150 USD and the regular 60 USD. So it is cheaper in Australia. Right?
^ No, apparently I meant USD, never did get the AUD price and regular stick price raised to 150 for AUD in play-asia T_T
Must go to Sam Shui Po and Mongkok to check for the prices again. I really hope that they have a reasonable price for the sticks
^ The sticks are too expensive for me thats for sure...and I'm only getting it for PC, if I have a console then I might get the regular edition or hori sticks LOL
I jus don't like the graphics on the LE stick.. had they changed it up.. might have actually got one to play around with.. but then.. damn.. might as well pay a lil more and get a steering wheel instead.. -lol
I suddenly realize that in HK, they don't sell Madcatz products, but they do sell Hori products. The Hori Real Arcade Pro 3 for the PS3, 99.99 USD ---> 855 HKD The Hori Real Arcade EX for the XBOX360, 129.99 USD
Guys its Mad Cat, mass-produced crap with pretty pictures on it, if it was half the price then it would be OK. REAL Sticks: http://www.xgaming.com/index.shtml is it a coincidence that the stick i mentioned in now in that ebay advert or is it picking up on keywords...
Well in a sense, you can use it for other fighting games and not just for that one game.. But either way, that's just pure addiction right there... -_-
I just cant understand how they can charge over 100 USD for some buttons and a stick placed in a plastic case... i mean a decent force feed back wheel for racing games can be had for around $100 and i bet the manufacturing cost is far greater with the pedals and motors involved. also a steering wheel lets you get into a racing game much more effectively compared to what a stick does for a fighting game.
^ If nike can make a pair or trainers in china costing less than $3 and sell it for $100+ then mad catz can do the same right. believe it or not, the silly price usually results in many people buying it for that very reason.
i'm pcking up the regular fightstick for xbox360 i have a hori hrap3 for ps3 that i use for the pc, it's still in mint condition, i wanna sell it off if anybody's interested here, it's unmodded and i think retails for somewhere around $99-120?
its pricey here maybe because of the euro, the standardver is 80 euro's ($100) and the TE is 150 euro ($195!!!) both for xbox360, it seems for the ps3 is 10 euro less, dont know why but gamepads is xbox360 cheaper than ps3, dont know why either
Well a decent stick has a solid base so when you're pulling off moves the base won't shake. A good joystick is very important. Precise yet has to withstand aggressive motions. But that still doesn't justify 100 USD *shrug*
