Maggie Shiu Stars in Catergory 3 Movie Caption: Maggie Shiu and Mark Cheng share many scenes together in their new movie, contesting each other's acting ability. Maggie Shiu Mei Kei, Mark Cheng Ho Nam, and Kenny Wong's new movie, "Oriental Black Magic" 《降頭》will open in theaters in May. Since the movie deals with sensitive topics such as witchcraft, it has been slapped with a Category III label. One version of the movie poster featuring a child was overly horrifying, thus preventing it from being approved for distribution. Director, Yau Lai To, said, "It is understandable that some people may find the images featured in the movie poster may be unsettling. The reason provided for the rejection was sufficient, thus I accept the decision." category 3 means it's not suitable for kids under legal age. in the past cat3 hk movies are known to have some nudity which can be called softcore porn but i don't think maggie would do those kind of films...BUT that chan ho guy is known for making several softcore pornos in the past. i don't think is a softcore film...hope not...that will ruin her career! she is just getting back on the scene too.
Maybe a bit of nudity and gruesome voodoo scenes that adds it to Cat 3. Dunno, guess we'll have to see when after it comes out.
I was shocked to see the title. hahah you got me there, i though she was that desperate to act in Cat III movies. But then its not very helpful to have a movie to be given Cat III but then its good to publicized it as Cat III becoz of some horror elements.
I did see the nudity but at least it's not Maggie doing the nudity. The movie does look scary though.
