Mandy Wong (黃智雯) became heavily bruised while filming an intense rape scene for new TVB mafia thriller, A Good Heart Goes Haywire <好心作怪>. Portraying a prostitute in the drama, Mandy was brutally attacked by a rapist who pounced on her with a chloroform pad. The rape scene occurred in a dark alley that was filled with litter and refuse. The temporary actor who portrayed the rapist was asked by the director to fiercely slap Mandy’s face for realistic results after camera angles did not do the trick. Aside from a swollen face, Mandy also bruised her thigh was bitten by mosquitoes while filming the scene. Mandy displayed her professionalism and cried convincingly in the rape scene. Regarding the sacrifices made for the scene, she said, “The effects are more realistic with real hitting! But my face is all swollen! I have to put ice on it when I get home!” Suffering from a leg injury, Niki Chow (周麗淇), who portrays a police officer in A Good Heart Goes Haywire, was unable to film the strenuous scene in saving Mandy from the rapist.
