Last year was a very productive year for Mandy Wong (黃智雯). Aside from winning the Most Improved Television Actress awards in Hong Kong and Malaysia, 2012 was also a “bumper harvest” year for Mandy. She admitted that she earned a six-figure sum from just side jobs in the past year, bumping up her income. Mandy has just finished shooting her latest TVB drama, A Change of Heart <好心作怪>, this past month. To prepare for her meaty role as Shiga, a prostitute and con artist, Mandy spent many days researching in Hong Kong nightclubs to grasp the proper mindset of high-end prostitutes. “My role in Lives of Omission <潛行狙擊> briefly went undercover as a prostitute,” said Mandy. “Other than that, this is my first time in portraying such a shapely character. I went to a lot of nightclubs to do some research. I also engaged in the nightlife of many dance hostesses! This helped with my acting a lot!” Mandy wrapped up her shoots for A Change of Heart just in time to attend the New Year’s countdown celebrations. Mandy is currently filming Love Reverses Three Lifetimes of Faith <情逆三世緣>, which costars Bobby Au Yeung (歐陽震華) and Esther Kwan (關詠荷). In February 2013, Mandy will begin shooting for The Hippocratic Crush 2 <On Call 36小時 II> with Lawrence Ng (吳啟華), Kenneth Ma (馬國明), Tavia Yeung (楊怡), and Him Law (羅仲謙). Creds: The Sun
