Manned Cloud, the latest from French designer Jean-Marie Massaud, aims to be the world's first luxury hotel in the sky. The double-decker carrier can travel 5,000 consecutive km, and is able to accommodate 40 guests (and 15 staff members) in its 1,100 sq. meter space. Developed with ONERA, the French national aerospace research body, Manned Cloud gives the jetsettiest of world travelers the opportunity to "explore the world without a trace: to re-experience travelling, timelessness and enhance the consciousness of the beauty of the world - and to experience spectacular and exotic places without being intrusive or exploitative" (save for the energy used to fly the thing). The flying hotel includes a restaurant and bar, lounge, library, fitness center, 20 rooms and terrace.
came across this at another site... very cool...but i don't think the government will aloud such a big object in the sky ...it'll send off too many UFO alerts -lol but the idea is very cool...i had a dream about being in a flying hotel once Neat Stuff!

This is like the modern day version of the Hindenburg airship with luxurious dining and living spaces. But how much fuel will it need just to remain afloat in the sky?
