After turning down the offer to star TVB’s upcoming drama Midas <點金勝手>, rumors claimed that Michael Miu (苗僑偉) was on the road to sign with HKTV. It was alleged that good friend Felix Wong (黃日華), who left TVB for HKTV in 2012, was the one who recommended Michael to sign with TVB’s rival station. Both Michael and Felix denied the rumors. Michael stated that he still has contract with TVB, and revealed that he is in final negotiations to film a new TVB drama this coming January. Michael, however, did not rule out the possibility of working with HKTV in the future. Michael clarified that he is enjoying his time at TVB and is not planning to leave the station anytime soon. He said, “What’s most important is for it to be a happy collaboration. Take Royal Medic and I for example. Six years down the road, I’m still endorsing for them. TVB and I have a great relationship. Why leave?” Michael also expressed his desire to film a new movie in the future. “It really comes down to fate. When a movie is choosing the cast, I am also choosing the movie. It’s not that I’m being picky. There are a lot more films and television shows to choose now, but I still need to find the right role. I’ve been in this industry for many years, and I still have many friends whom I have never collaborated with. I still have a lot of spark left.” Creds: ihktv
