Michelle Ye attends Film Director Awards, takes up hosting challenge Hong Kong Film Director Awards was organized at Hong Kong Kowloon Renaissance, where renowned directors Gordon Chan, Andrew Lau, Derek Yee, Ann Hui, Stephen Fung, Joe Cheung, etc were gathered together. New talent of the movie industry, Michelle Ye, and TVB's siu sang Samuel Chan were invited to be the host of the night. Michelle with her long hair over shoulders and her sunshine smile, hosted with poise, her collaboration with Samuel Chan throughout the night was merry and lively, earning praises of those present. An award was presented, voted by the Directors' committee, among which 'The Way We Are', 'Ip Man' and 'Red Cliff' won the 'Most Recommended Movie' award together. 'Director of the Year' were won by Ann Hui, Wilson Yip and John Woo; 'New Director of the Year' award was won by director Derek Kwok of 'The Moss'.
