Microsoft using Multi Touch Technology on Laptops

    After Apple introduced this technology on the iPhone. Microsoft can't stay behind. it has introduced the Surface (a table computer) and now a laptop is shown with this technology.
    Are the days of the rodent counted?

    until holographic technology is invented and combined with this touch tech, i have no interest in it. minority report ftw

    Yep, again Microsoft copied some technology from little competitors.

    hence guys like ubuntu and the open source arena is slowly growing..

    Yep, that is bad!!! Since M$ monopoly position creates a artificial high prices for their products. For instance OS: MacOS X Leopard is just $129 where Windows Vista is many times expensiver. Asian countries just can't buy legal versions -evil

    I'm not too big on the touch screen thing but the IR technology is interesting. I like how they can incorporate IR remotes to input data through the LCD. Cool stuff.
