I bought 2 Microsoft's Zune 8GB last Nov/2008 for our family, both batteries never lasted more than 10 hours of actual use. The on off switch sucks, after turning off, touching any button the Zune will turn on. So I search in Google & many people suggested to press the "back/left" arrow & the "down" on the big round button (like 9:30 position on the clock). It will put the Zune in deep sleep mode without draining battery when it's off. So far I marked down the time that I used it & I'm at 18 hrs. It should get over 20 hours of use.

The battery life for most mp3 players hardly meet what the company says it will be..... Even with iPods. In the deep sleep mode, is the whole zine actually turned off? Or are there still some background processes running? I've had no wxperience with zunes though...they haven't released them worldwide

  5. ^ i imported my zune, its still on, saved your state i guess, i got no problems with it anyway. as for ipod, their battery lasts like a year if you use it often and when it runs out you gota return it i belive, with zune you can just change it
