What do you guys think? I don't know but I feel like if she were to pretend to have huge lips like a black person there would be an uproar of racism news.

I dont think she is trying to be racist, she is just trying to be funny by doing something that many will find offensive. she is just ignorant.. which is her own punishment going by this. i feel sorry for the asian dude cus he has to be all smiles regardless of what they say and do, i also think he is an idiot

This is just an example of people making a big deal out of nothing. The reason why racism will never go away is because of stories like this. Sooner or later you're going to hear that a star is racist because they colored their face black for a costume.
shes 16, and a celeb, personally i think celebs should eb smarter especially when it comes to taking pics, cuz most of them will end up in the internet and people will start saying things insult or joking, she should just be careful of what she does, shes not a kid anymore you know, 16+ should start thinking maturely...

uhh...no. not all asians have slanted eyes. it's more of a stereotype... but i agree, i don't think she's trying to be racist. just having fun with friends. my family calls me "黑鬼“ all the time because i'm so tanned.

"Slanted eyes" is already disparaging term in itself to describe the characteristics of the eyes of Asian people, a more 'politically correct' term would be epicanthic fold. So the term itself is offensive, never mind insulting or making a joke out of it. Hey, blacks are known to have white teeth, buy them some watermelon and see how they'll react. This ain't "people making a big deal out of nothing". Believe it or not, people get offended by racial gestures/mockery. I would categorize Miley's "eye-slant" on the same level with Rosie O'Donnell's "ching-chong" insult, they're both taking a(n) characteristic/aspect from the Asian race and mocking it.
