Miriam honoured as Academician and appeared in Sammi's concert Miriam who was once a nurse was invited to attend Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Faculty of Health and Social Science's 30th Anniversary Dinner. The school presented the title of Honoured Academician to Miriam. Miriam also hosted for the charity auction that night and used $50000 to bid for a volleyball autographed by the China vollyball team. Miriam said the school only told her they will be giving her something but she didn't expect it to be the Academician title. This fulfilled her parent's wishes and later she could have a chance of wearing the graduation hat. Recently a senior nurse met a fatal car accident and a fireman who died in a job. Miriam felt uncomfortable hearing this news and hopes the family members won't be too upset. She feels everyone should respect these professionals. If there are related activities in the future that needs her help, she'll definitely support. In the 6th night of Sammi's concert, Sammi saw Gigi Leung sitting among the audience and invited her on stage to sing "Parachute" written by Gigi. Sammi then asked the audience who else had come to watch her concert. The audience shouted Miriam's name. Sammi and Gigi then pull Miriam on stage. The 3 women lacked 1 more person to play majong and Sammi joked if Jackie Chan or Chow Yun Fatt are around. Miriam joked and suggested singing "Heart of Greed". Gigi replied, "It's non of my business here now!" Miriam said Gigi could play Michelle's character. Sammi suggested singing "Beautiful for Life" because beauty is important to women. Gigi and Miriam wished Sammi "Good show" when they were about to leave. Sammi asked them to be careful when making their way down the stage. Miriam went to Sammi's concert right after the University's event. Regarding the negative gossips and comments about Sammi and her concert, Miriam said, "These reports are very evil-hearted. Such a good artiste with good performance have been framed. Sammi is a capable singer with strong will. Later when I open my own concert, Sammi will be my learning example." When asked if she'll learn like Sammi to train her arm muscle, Miriam replied, "Last time I have to carry things when I was a nurse, muscle will grow with sufficient exercise. To slim down is difficult but to become tough is not difficult!"
