MKV converting problem

    I got several cantonese dbz movies in mkv format, trying to convert it to other format so that i could store it on my portable player but having some problem.

    So far i had used
    Xilisoft Video Converter Ultimate
    Easy RealMedia Producer
    Mediacoder

    all gotten me 5mb file :( anyone know what preventing from converting? i have added the information of video and audio not sure if that helps

    you could use mkvextract gui to extract the video file and audio file you want and the use avi-mux gui to make into avi file

    AVS Video Converter. Go download that, it works like a charm.

    For mkv files I have been using AlltoAvi in the past with good results, so you might want to give that a try.

    I have no idea why you are only getting a 5mb file though.

    Ahh found out the problem, it was the file itself :( so any converter will be the same. :( i had hard time finding these movie and now i can't put it on my imt :< thanks all for help

    Try rename the file from *.mkv to *.rmvb. And convert it from there. Hopefully that will fix the prob? -unsure

    use WinAVI, i have had converted MKVs to DVD no problems at all; i don't think i would encounter any problems converting to other formats
