Actresses Athena Chu (朱茵) and Monica Chan (陳法蓉) recently flew out to Tibet to film an upcoming movie Amban -《駐藏大臣》. However, filming was postponed as Monica was suffering severely from altitude sickness in the high mountains and was rushed to hospital for treatment. Monica reassured concerned fans that she was fine and not to worry about her. Monica revealed she had suffered the symptoms a few days earlier and was fortunate that her assistant realised in time and offered her oxygen to ease her condition. The team also allowed Monica to return back to Hong Kong to recuperate. “I’m just checking in, I’m very happy to take part in this movie, and that I have the chance to come to such a majestic place, the scenery is like a work of art. Unfortunately, the altitude sickness comes and goes. A few days ago, my body was so in shock that all filming had to stop completely. I am deeply sorry that I was unable to attend the two functions planned afterwards too. I’m thankful to the director and production crew for their understanding and concern for me. I will rest up and be back in my best form soon. I’ll continue to post updates on my health, so please don’t worry!” ~~~ cred: oncc
