Well yesterday night Mourinho quitted Chelsea. Man i'm shocked about this, it probably was because of a fallout with Roman Abramovich. I think Abramovich expects too much from Mourinho. Mourinho's probably one of the best managers in the world, he's won two straight premier league titles with Chelsea. What more can he expect? I mean Chelsea never ever looked like a real threat until Mourinho took over. He's also helped Chelsea win 2 league cups. one community shield and the FA cup. He's like the most successful manager Chelsea has ever had. And the funniest thing is that the new Chelsea manager is Avram Grant. I've never heard of his name before, i think the reason he got the place is because of Abramovich. Anyway post your thoughts about Mourinho's departure from Chelsea.
Avram Grant was Israeli national team coach. He became the technical director of Portsmouth before jointing Chelsea as director of football.
Grant's taken over as interim boss for Chelsea... with Roman's money... i wouldn't be surprised if he lured Klinsmann to take over...
i still can't believe Mouriho go away like that! haiyo... i wonder how it is gonna be with chelsea....
Sad to see him leave, he had rather good banter with other managers, Anyway I dont think he will have much trouble finding work, though i would love to see him at a club with puny resources and do a porto
Lol i meant *sunday. Hm.. Mourinho's said he doesn't want to work in England right now but in a different European country and different football style. I'm sure he'll do good whereever he goes.
Well, Chelsea lost, signs of more bad things to come for them? They should have never had released mourinho, he's very good.
I don't really support Chelsea, but I think it is really apparent that they are taking their time to find their feet again now that Jose Mourinho has left. They are really in their depths, aren't they? They have injured key players like Terry and Lampard... Drogba was sent off against Fulham yesterday, and well, Shevchenko just can't seem to do anything right for the time being. I wonder who will be their next manager though. I honestly don't see Avram Grant lasting, even though he is obviously in charge on a temporary basis.
I think this is a step back for Chelsea because Jose Mourinho is the best coach in all top European league in the past 4-5 years.
I agree that jose brought to chelsea unprecedented success and anyone following in his footsteps have a tough task ahead........But hey.....Roman have the cash...he can hire and fire whoever he likes.....
^Good luck...Chelsea needs it as Ten Cate couldn't help Ajax into the further rounds of the Champions League. <_<
