The film version of the popular 2000 TVB series, Return of the Cuckoo <十月初五的月光>, premiered across Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, and Malaysia on November 12, 2015. Starring the original main cast of Chilam Cheung (張智霖), Charmaine Sheh (佘詩曼), and Nancy Sit (薛家燕), the film groomed $1.2 million HKD at the box office in just one day. It is currently number one in box office rankings for an Asian film.

Chilam and Charmaine were ecstatic to hear about the success of their film and thanked viewers for their support. The artistes have recently been busy flying between Hong Kong and Macau to promote the production. Fans greeted Chilam warmly as he visited theatres across Guangzhou. Crowds shouted happily, “You’re so handsome!” and “Cho Gor Gor! (Chilam’s character in the film)” In midst of receiving bouquets of flowers, Chilam took several selfies with excited fans.

On the other hand, Charmaine visited a theatre in Tsim Sha Tsui last night, along with Nancy and their director Patrick Kong (葉念琛). Unfortunately, Nancy came across with an eye infection and had to don a pair of sunglasses. When the host told her to read from a game card, she laughed and said helplessly, “I actually can’t see anything.” The crowd roared with laughter. Nancy also added that she does not have enough screen-time in the film, in which director Kong replied, “I hope there will be a sequel, so we can save more screen-time for you!”
