Hey guys, I've posted other threads here stating a situation that happened, but now things are completely over and done with, so we're ex'

I'm wondering what you guys would suggest to stop thinking about her. Cause I do get thoughts about her and etc. I mean, it was close to two years for our relationship. Keep busy, that's an obvious solution to stop thinking about her, but somehow I still end up thinking about it, she just kinda slips into my mind and all, so it's a bit frustrating for myself.

Just wonder what you all would do. ^^

Give yourself some time. It's normal to still think about her since you guys just broke up and had been going out for a long time. Get to know new people, and yeah, keep yourself busy, do stuff you enjoy. Eventually, with time, you will think less and less about her.

was in a close 4 years relationship before me and my ex broke up. But then again , all turned out fine as i was dating my current gf a month after the breakup. Give yourself time, seek other targets ;)

There is no effective way to stop thinking about someone, especially if you have deep feelings for them.

Only sugguestion I have for you is not to force yourself to forget her. If you do think about her then, then just think about her. No matter how hard you try you cannot control your thoughts, its what make us human. All you can do is live you life, no matter how much pain and sorrow you are in right now time will slowly heal you, and eventually you will be able to move on.

You can speed up the healing process by engaing in a new relationship,as you will focus upon them. However only start a new relationship if you intend to 'put your head into it', or else you may end you hurting them and yourself.

Get drunked and crunked, sleep that day and see what will happen . Wake up the next day, you got a whole new world waiting for you.

  11. ^ lol not really..... try getting over a 5 yr relationship.... man that was tough..... did things i shouldn't have to try and forget, mostly made it worst.... just time and friends is what is ideal in these types of situations..... lets hope you still have some close buds you can fall back on

In my experience, friends are always a good release from your unhappiness. If you are feeling down, jsut go out with some mates and get totally pissed and then hopefully next day you will forget a little more.

I am one of the worst friends to have after a breakup. I basically become very subdued and enclosed and I make all my friends worry about me. I don't speak to people about when I know I need to and jsut stay home locked my room and try sleeping it off. Dunno why I do this, I just do.

But my advice, don't keep the pain and anger locked up inside. Go out talk to friends, get it out. Everyday you go and spend time your friends and have fun. Then every day you forget a little more

    awww... you poor thing! :(

like everyone says, things take time and the harder you try to forget about things the more it'll pop into your head. take a few days to really "mourn" the break up and then try to get back to life. dont let your studies suffer because of this, it's really not worth it. talk to more females in your life. when i broke up with my ex of 3 years i just started talking to other guys and that really helped!!!!

    good luck...

You should be able to talk to some close friends... just try to go out and have fun. That worked for me, plus the fact that I got a job and took like 7 classes, started working out and playing basketball more often. Yeah, don't go overboard though... Although I was busy, I didn't do too good in my classes. But, passing is passing to me but you don't want to be like me.

But you can enjoy the single life... I remember I started talking to this one girl and when I was hanging out with my friends she'd always call. That made me realize that it was GOOD to be single so I'm going to enjoy it for awhile.
