^ but if ya put in less bytes and stuff...doesnt it make the song quieter..as its a smaller file or something -unsure

I think she wants to cut a certain segment from the song. Keeping the same quality, but with shorter playtime and file size.

Phones usually use MIDI files for ringtones, so cut your song with some audio editing software and convert it to MIDI format. Then put it in your phone and there you go :).

Oh and what carrier are you on? Sometimes you're phone carrier can prevent you from using custom ringtones and force you to buy them instead :\

My Phone Is A Nokia 5300 Xpress Music
So I Already Cutted A Portion Of The Songs That I Want For A Ringtone
And Has Already Converted It From MP3 Format To WAV Format .
Last Time , NewAzNSensation Told Me To Upload My WAV Files To File Front
Then Used A Program Called Creative Media Organizer Or Something
To Help Me Edit It , & My Phone Accepted It As A Ring Tone
But I Cant Get That Program Because It Comes With A Mp3 Player
    Which I Dont Have .
So Like Yeah , I Really Thank Everyone Giving Me Advices And Everything
But I Really Still Dont Know What To Do .
    =(

Let me guess, your phone is from Rogers? If that is indeed the case, the only possible way to use the Mp3 as ringtone is to flash the phone software into an unbranded firmware (ie no rogers logo but generic nokia 5300 software).

& I Dont Get It . The Ringtones That I Get From The Internet Is All WAV Format
My Phone Takes It As A Ring Tone . . .
So Like Yeah I Dont Know .

OMG -Tisken- If You Can Make It Work
I'll Thank You Millions And Millions .

The only way to use Mp3 as ringtones is when you have removed the restriction on the software of the phone. Converting to any format will not work. You can dl thru Rogers web browser but its going to cost you an arm and a leg when you dont have the promotion's offer. :)
