Since my other laptop wasn't working which was Dell, my mum bought me a new laptop which costs £800!! hahaha. I dont think i'm going to use that. lol. hehe! I don't really know how to use the webcam just yet... i can't get the microphone to work and i got no idea what that finger recognition is . . .
just go to accessories-->entertainment--> sound recorder to use the microphone to record and to chat there should be a setting on your messenger. The webcam, should have hp webcam program included or use windows movie maker to make movies lol.. (I have a similar computer) "512MB DDR2 System Memory (1 Dimm)" For windows vista...you need an upgrade lol...
for sure.. he needs at least 1gb ram.. better for vista... and that amount of money he spend on this laptop.. seems like it cost too much.... hp... hmm...

lol yea 2gb is good, 512mb probably couldn't even boot vista basic properly... and the "entertainment" lol dunno where it is on yours cause forgot i have xp lol...

finger recognition u need to set up... and make sure u use u input the correct original fingerprint.. hehe anbd the laptop should've come with software for the webcam.. mine has a webcam toolbar hidden to the side... when u put the mouse near that area it comes out ... u could have a quick scroll around the screen to see if u hav that.. if not.. there shouldn't be too many apps install atm.. just hav a look through them all... lol
just do video and audio setup and the camera and mic will do fine... I saw a Toshiba laptop with finger print sensing tech, (I bet this lil thing replaces the password when you log on to ur pc) the price is reasonably cheap too and here I am thinking of dumping the ol and go for the new lol...
that so cheap..... it would cost more than $1100 pound if convert from my country. that is sure a dream laptop >_< if u ever felt ur laptop is getting slow, get 2x 2gb ram(but max is 3.5-3.8gb, the vista will detect if urs is 32 bit)
