Myolie Wu (胡杏兒) was flanked by TV Kings, Wayne Lai (黎耀祥), Kevin Cheng (鄭嘉穎), and Moses Chan (陳豪) in the TVB calendar shoot for the month of November. The men wore tuxedos while Myolie wore an elegant gown. The caliber of her photo shoot counterparts made Myolie feel nervous, as she is only a newly crowned TV Queen.

Myolie Does Not Have Confidence to Win TV Queen This Year

With the TVB Anniversary Awards approaching in December, the buzz for this year’s winners have already started. With heavyweight dramas, The Confidant <大太監 > and Silver Spoon, Sterling Shackles <名媛望族> yet to air, Myolie felt that it will be difficult to win the TVB Best Actress award two years in a row.

“There are many good dramas this year. For TV Queen contenders, there is Michelle Yim (米雪) and Tavia Yeung (楊怡). It will be difficult to even enter the Top 5! This year, I will be more of an observer of the competition,” Myolie said modestly.

Kevin Returns from China for Calendar Shoot

Taking a filming break from mainland Chinese drama, Ip Man <葉問>, Kevin Cheng especially returned to TVB for the calendar shoot. He will only stay in Hong Kong for a few days before resuming filming in China.

The TVB calendar is often praised for its high-quality photo shoots and well-loved by fans. After a two-year hiatus, TVB decided to relaunch a 2013 calendar to promote its prized artists. Renown photographer, Cheung Man Wah (張文華) was invited to photograph for the November month. Cheung had also done the cover shoots for Kevin’s second and third album, in which Kevin recognized the photographer immediately and felt a sense of familiarity.

As Kevin entered TVB City, rumored girlfriend, Charmaine Sheh (佘詩曼) had stepped out. Not embarrassed by their rumors, Kevin said that he would greet Charmaine if he had run into her.

This will be the first time that Wayne Lai will be appearing in the TVB calendar. Wayne said, “It’s not a matter of being a ‘biological son’ or not. It depends on which dramas the company wishes to promote.”

Moses Chan has appeared in numerous editions of the TVB calendar in the last decade. “Shooting for the calendar is enjoyable; it also increases morale. It’s a good thing for artists to gather together and talk. Filming it once in a while, I hope to be a lifelong [calendar] guy!”
