It has been more than seven months since Myolie Wu’s (胡杏兒) split from Bosco Wong (黃宗澤). When speaking about her current life without Bosco by her side, Myolie admitted that she enjoys the relaxing feeling of not having to be worried or concerned for her boyfriend whenever she leaves town for work. However, sometimes, she would still miss the feelings of being in love. Myolie admitted that she has a pursuer, who she is currently observing. Many of her friends, including Triumph in the Skies 2 <衝上雲宵II> costar Chilam Cheung (張智霖), were quite eager to match her with other eligible bachelors, but Myolie does not feel that she should jump into a new relationship yet. “I just had a breakup not long ago. I think maybe in one to two years? I am actually ready [to accept a new relationship], but I want this person to understand how the [entertainment] circle works. I am very open about meeting new friends; I will not lock myself up and say no to everything.” Myolie Sets New Criteria for Boyfriends Couples usually flaunt their status by holding hands in public, but for Boscolie, they could only afford to hold their hands indoors. Recalling her past eight-year relationship with Bosco, Myolie sighed, “For all those years, we have never held hands outside before, only at home! It was quite miserable! But there was nothing else we could do. That was the price. We understand why we shouldn’t. We did not want to be too high-profile, did not want to alert the paparazzi, and in our first few years of being together, we would always take a look around the streets before we leave together. We did not have much of a dating life, even when we had to leave town. I didn’t bother to hold his hand. Too many people would recognize us, and that would be a hassle! I really want to know how it feels like to hold my boyfriend’s hand in public.” Asked if the newly-single Myolie has any requirements for her next boyfriend, she said, “We must hold hands when we go out together! I will make [the relationship] public.” Myolie also joked, “When the time comes, don’t get scared of my unreserved nature! I don’t even care if people catch me kissing him on the streets! I will now do the things I want to do.” The 33-year-old will be extra cautious in choosing her next boyfriend, expressing that he must be marriage material, “I am not young anymore. I want to have a stable relationship. I want a husband, not a boyfriend. If anybody is interested, feel free to contact me!” The strong-willed and independent Myolie also professed that she is looking forward in a change of image – to be a dainty wife and have kids.
