In a breakthrough role in Midas <點金勝手>, Nancy Wu (胡定欣) forced a kiss on Kate Tsui (徐子珊). The women are in a love triangle with Bosco Wong (黃宗澤) in the series, and Nancy forced a kiss on Kate to determine if Kate was a lesbian. Despite the initial awkwardness, Nancy complimented Kate on her thick, kissable lips.

It has been a slow but steady rise for Nancy since she joined the entertainment industry about 10 years ago. Often cast in small supporting roles, Nancy rose in prominence after her portrayal of a mute female boxer in Gloves Come Off <拳王> in 2012. The role also won her the Best Supporting Actress awards in Asia. Heavily promoted by TVB, Nancy appeared in the popular Triumph in the Skies 2 <衝上雲霄II> and is currently seen in Coffee Cat Mama <貓屎媽媽> as Michelle Yim’s (米雪) nemesis. In the upcoming Tiger Cubs 2 <飛虎 II>, Nancy will guest star as a cold-blooded killer and has combat scenes opposite Linda Chung (鍾嘉欣).

Nancy has proven her diversity as an actress and will push the boundaries in Midas, in which she will be in a love triangle with Kate Tsui and Bosco Wong. Although Nancy has kissed her friends on the lips before in good humor, she was anxious about filming her forced kiss on Kate. Nancy felt nervous before the filming, but complimented Kate for her luscious lips and said it was a memorable and enjoyable experience.

    Learning Opportunities

Nancy looks upon every drama as an opportunity to learn from her co-stars. In Coffee Cat Mama, Nancy shared acting insights with frequent co-star, Vincent Wong (王浩信), as well as Michelle Yim. Nancy credits her most valuable learning experiences from three-time TV King, Wayne Lai (黎耀祥). Nancy would quietly stand in a corner and study Wayne’s acting methods and approach him if she had any questions.

    Not Ready For Marriage

Aside from a critically-acclaimed career, Nancy’s love relationship is progressing well. Nancy has been dating marketing entrepreneur, Patt Shum (沈柏淳), for two years and considers him to be a good potential husband. Because of Patt’s field of work, he understands Nancy’s irregular working hours as an actress. Although Nancy is 32 years old, she is in no hurry to get married yet. She laughed over the false speculations over her intentions to wed, wishing to prioritize on her work opportunities first.
