Hi people I need to get hold of a recipe for an easy to do dessert that's simply says "Beijing". Yes, I'm doing this to impress someone, so please help! thanks in advance

Steamed Pears Ingredients : 4 Pears 4 tablespoons Honey Method : 1. Cut off the tops of the pears. 2. Keep the tops as a lid. 3. Core the pears. 4. Fill each pear with one tablespoon of honey. 5. Place the cut-off portion back to top of the pears. 6. Steam the pears upright in heatproof dishes. 7. Serve hot.
White Fungus and Apple Soup Ingredients 2 red Fuji apples, skinned, cored and cubed 10g white fungus, soaked for 5–10 minutes and cut into small pieces 1 tbsp each of bitter and sweet almonds 3 honey dates (mat choe) 100g rock sugar 1.5 litres water 2 screwpine leaves, shredded and knotted Method Bring water to a boil and add apples, white fungus and bitter and sweet almonds. Cook for 5 minutes. Add honey dates, rock sugar and screwpine leaves and simmer for 35-40 minutes. Serve hot or cold.
Ah! thanks rin! Just need a bit of info with regards to the Steamed Pears if you don't mind. Which type of pear would u recommend ? I know there are some that are really hard (people can probably crack a tooth trying to eat those) or those that are huge and its shape look more like apples than they do pears. Other question is how long would u recommend steaming them for? (time based or visual change?)
you can use Asian pears(the yellow color type) 30 minutes, or until the pears are tender. Serve warm.
