I recently got the Xingular 8525 pda phone and the stupid windows media player won't load.

I was wondering if I can reinstall the program by myself. I got a cd that that says windows mobil 5.0 software but the dealer had already updated my os to a newer edition. I don't know if the old windows media player is compatible with the new os.

If it's not compatible, are there any suggestions for a media player.

First off, if media player isn't working, have you tried a soft reset?
    A hard reset?
    What os are you running?
I would suggest a few free media players, but i need to know your os for compatibility issues.

@ OP, you should follow what knoc suggested.

Should that not resolve, you would need to resinstall the whole OS.

yeah, I soft reseted the phone by holding the power button and the player worked. I ended up getting the free pocketmusic player(it looks and has an equalizer like winamp) http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/.
    Thanks overall.

Glad to hear it worked out.
I persoanlly hate using the built in windows media plyer. Later on i will post some of the players i use that are wm5 compatible.
