My itunes turned all of my Chinese characters into those weird scribbles.

I have Windows 7 Home Premium so Microsoft won't provide the language packs.

I found one solution which was to change the "Language for non-Unicode programs" to Chinese traditional.

It worked perfect, but after a month (June) or so, I noticed some songs started to turn back into the scribbles.

Is there a solution for this? Did Microsoft send an update that messed it up again?

It's a problem with the ID3 tag. You need to manually fix them.
