is there a way i can make it so windows media players can display chinese names properly? instead of words like this µ°¯»ÄѶº (²Ä¤Q¤G¶°¥DÃD¦±)
i assume u aready have a chinese language pack installed?...or not?..are u running wmp 10 or 11?..heres a useful link if ur running 10: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...db-b012-4327-96cb-73937ae00667&DisplayLang=en
^ what knoc said but since ur active in the TVB drama section if u can c the chinese symbols next to the drama english title on the main thread title it means u have the chinese simplified pack installed if not u just get squares, this pack is sufficient enough **can you see the symbols here for example 1. 斷腸說 2. December Rain 3. 分手總要在雨天 4. 我到底是你的誰 (國) 5. 美麗的愛情 (國) 6. 十二月的雨 if u cant u havent got the simplified pack im assuming this µ°¯»ÄѶº (²Ä¤Q¤G¶°¥DÃD¦±) applies to song titles with WMP, there is no way you can fix that with WMP by installing extra stuff, the only way is that you need to find the original song name that your computer can see in the chinese symbols and then copy and paste that into the song properties in place of µ°¯»ÄѶº (²Ä¤Q¤G¶°¥DÃD¦±) im not sure why this ¯»ÄѶº (²Ä¤Q¤G¶°¥DÃD¦±) happens, maybe because it can be seen with chinese pc's as they are catered with all the stuff necessary to type and read chinese more efficiently than the western ones with add-ons (they have like chinese windows xp and stuff, mayb if u go to control panel, regional settings and advanced and change the language of windows completely to chinese =P, if u seen a chinese pc; instead of the words "start" on the bottom left corner its in chinese along with that windows icon, that is what i'm on about for example if u dont get what i said before or if u right click everything u c will be in chinese: this will change everything to chinese, might solve the problem of displaying ¯»ÄѶº (²Ä¤Q¤G¶°¥DÃD¦±) into symbols like a chinese xp pc would, but would be no use what so ever if u cant read chinese, since everything would be in symbols )
hav ur eastern languages installed via control panel - regional and language options - click on languages - install files for east asian langs...but thats xp i fink...u wd nd ur windows cd 2 do it if ur runnin Win ME or somethin =P but afta ya installed east asian langs - restart comp n get updates like dragonloaded n Knoctur_nal
I have the language pack installed, but it just doesn't show the characters in certain applications such as Windows Media Player 9, 10, or 11, and Realplayer
^ it wont show in Real media player because chinese characters arent supported unless u d/l the chinese version of real but what i said above about editing the properties work with WMP (just replace the ¯»ÄѶº (²Ä¤Q¤G¶°¥DÃD¦±)), see below:
Yup. I have XP and that's what I did, but occasionally I would get some things that showed up in symbols. But I copy and pasted like what DragonLoaded says too, lol.
I think the problem comes from the tags of some of your songs. use something like Mp3tag to correct them. http://www.mp3tag.de/en/
