need software play movie??? helphelp

i wonder why i cannot play movie i download from popularasian.


i just finish dl undercover mission 3

used....
mediaplayer and realplayer....but also use videolan..


.i using everything to play movie .. still wont work at all.. if anyone knwo .plz help me out ..thanks alot

before you can play it you will need to extract the file using winrar (or another program) before it can be played

then it plays with wmp or videolan

i think you extract either __ 00 or __01 whatever is 1st (__ denotes the file name or some is r00 or r01, this varies with each release)

 

i think i might do like a huge FAQ when i have time =/

If it is extracted and it doesn't play, you may not have a divx codec. Go to divx.com and download the code. Player too if you want, but the codec is all you need to get Windows Media Player to play it.

 

You can try K-Lite Codec Pack Media Player, it almost play 99.9% of codec movies.

ha surprise surprise... maybe yant the right format

 

umm...i'm not sure if i'm on the right track...but when i started dling movies...i didn't realize i had to join the files....so i had trouble watching them with any player before i joined them....

 

Lol yeah that would be a problem, you use winrar and extract the files to a location.

Use videolan to watch the movie, it has like nearly every codec, never been faced with a movie it cant play =p

 

Is it possible that your Codec is the problem? I've had issues with that in the past, particularly when subtitles are involved. If you just do a search on any engine you'll find the latests Codecs available. Try downloading them.

 

To Play PA files,

First Make sure your computer has "show extensions" turned on. (Can be done by going to My Computer, at the top, Tools>Folder Options>check box Show file extensions), sorry im doing this from memory, someone correct me if im wrong.

If file is in multiple parts you need to combine them. If multiple parts end in .rar then extract one and the rest should automatically be combined. If multiple parts end in .001, .002, .003, etc You need HJ-Split to join the files into one large AVI file that usually is 700mb.

If you do not download VLC and use Windows, make sure to install divx, xvid, ac3 audio codec to play almost everything. For subtitles download Vobsub.

if you're using Apple, you dont need any help =P

 

Just install Storm Codec. It has all the codecs you will need to play any files. It also comes with Media Player Classic that works better that any player out there. But make sure you un-rar it because it definitely will not plat rar files.

 

Just get divx and xvid codec.

 

maybe the files are split up and u must joint them?
if u more than 2 files ending with .001 or .003 , that means u must joint them because they are splitted up. with a programme u can join them.

 

somehow I doubt that will help, there are plenty of sites with thorough FAQ's yet the same questions still pop up.
