It's going to be my 3rd time putting a cellphone on sell on ebay. The first a 2nd times the wining bidder would force ebay shutdown the auction by reporting that the bidder's account has been hacked or something. Then they would send me fake emails saying that the issue has been resolved and funds has been deposited in my account. Good thing I didnt ship the item, I found out there are so many scammers. When I put the item on ebay for 2nd time, i even used buyer requirements saying U.S. and Canada only, but bidders from nigerea still get in. Here are what the emails look like: These scammers are really goood. Almost got me. If anyone knows any info that would help me sell my item sucessfully next that I would be greatful. Thanks for reading!
NEVER EVER do any transaction with anyone from Africa. You can just google the scams that are coming out of that country, its endless. What I would suggest is report all emails/accounts to ebay, ban all the scammers account you know of and just relist and pray they dont do it again. good luck
Since you are in Boston, you can post the phone on craigslist.org. They have a For Sale section and you can do local sale and demand cash only.
try putting a demand when selling your item like "people with 0 feedbacks do not bid" i dont know if thats against the rules or something but it might help minimize the risk. But yea craigslist is a good place also howardforums.com although its mostly canadian there are american buyers and always demand cash if it isn't ebay and go with a friend.
Try posting somewhere else? My friend told me that he got scammed 2 times on eBay, so I don't really trust myself to post anything there. When I saw your email, I was like "Ooh, now we know your name is Victor." But then I saw your username and I was like OH ... -tongue2
what are you talking about....are they names of your friends??? another language??,.......lai gnup mut yeh....9 5 dap 9......silly ham sup jai
I used to sell quiet successfully on eBay. Although I've not had a bad experience with buyers I've now stopped selling as it's too much hassle trying to judge who is or is not a genuine buyer or not. So I would say tread with extreme care and vet your buyers...not only fr Nigeria but also elsewhere..like China as well. Perhaps the safest way is only except sales from your country only as you know it well.
www.craigslist.com it's a online nonprofit/no advertising place that people can post anyhting and lots of people post jobs, vonlunteer projects, community events, sales of 2nd junk it's really cool but it's most popular in the USA starting to get some ground in Canada too
