The functionality of the free version is basic (Enjoy basic data burning and copying capabilities for your CDs and DVDs), but for most users it will be all they need. There is no time limitation on the app, you can download it and keep it as long as you want. Users of the free version can also get a discounted upgrade to the full Nero 9 suite and free users can take advantage of a free 15-day trial of the full Nero 9 suite. Nero does require registration to get the free software, which means you may need to endure some marketing messages to use the app. LINK
i heard about this like last month, dled it and it was crap i think you can only make data cds only and yea the copy function but lots of other better free programs can do that.
the free version is too stripped down but if all you are doing is making data cd or copying cd or dvd then it works but i've found the free version to still be a resource hog...and like NaS says there are many free apps that work just as well if not better than the free nero
if it can only burn data cds then it's a bit useless as the windows os can do that and u will prob have a more advanced cd burner software that came with the computer or laptop.
Nero is pretty common on most warez sites...I don't see why people would be attracted to the crappy basic ver they are giving out.
If you have a burner, how do you not have a copy of Express in the first place? Doesn't it get bundled with virtually every burner these days? Even the OEM? =/
yes most dvd burner you buy comes with one; but what if you lost the disc? that is the place to get it...
People should really make it a habit to create a backup ISO of these kinda things and just store it on a partition, or even a HD.
