Maybe I'm just getting old, but more and more, I'm beginning to think that the original 2-D graphic and midi-driven sound games were better than most of the new games of today... Main Reasons being: 1. The games were simple and easy to play. (just direction, start, select, A and B) 2. They lacked uber cool 3-d graphics and music, so the actual game play had to be more fun. Even with the super-technology driven games of today, my favorite of all time is Kirby's Adventure for the NES. Is it just me thinking this?
Nah...I too enjoy the nes games. especially "River City Ransum"; However, I did attempt to play games such as CS on PC.....Damn it was condusing. Even though it seems like "just get a gun and kill the enemies", it was confusing becasue of all the buttons on the keyboard. I dunno maybe i'm just old school
I have to agree to a point. Most games are better in 2D. Castlevania for instance. However, I like the newer 3d fighting and sports games a bit more than the old 2D 8 and 16 bit versions. Mortal Kombat in 3D is the greatest.
