Just saw this. As a "gamer" it's nice to heard about a new console coming into the market but I doubt that it will have any succes.
The starting price is expected to be $199 and is mostly aimed for the semi poor countries like India, South America where the current gen (more expensive) consoles hasn't been selling so well.
The console are offering "old/blockbuster" games like Fifa 09, NFS: Carbon, Quake ect. for download (no optic drive), for the price of around $10 per game, since the fun games don't need to be a new one.

I was just thinking. Wouldn't it be better for the "poor" people to buy a PS2 instead? Ps2 has a lower price and still have some of the best games,
even though the games are more expensive, since they can just find the nearest eletronic shop around the corner and "mod" the PS2
(don't think the regulations are so strict in place like South America compared to the West)

well this is like a wii type console, announced for some time now as i read tech magazines, and this comes with a sd card slot and all the games are purchased and downloaded to the console and this machine is the fight the against people from copying games, however it is yet to know if you deleted the game you paid, will you have access to it again in the future; also the biggest mistake it will ahve is the card slot cuz that will open to ppl hacking into it just like the wii
