Hello all, I never setup a hard drive before and I'm running into some issues. So i bought a new hard drive WD20EARS (Western Digital Caviar Green) 2TB. This will be my third disk. So here's what happen and what I did, 1. Computer off. I plugged the hard drive into my computer, Via SATA3 and the power. 2. Turn on computer. 3. I got a pop-up indicating it recognizes the hard drive. 4. In my computer, the new disk does not appear. 5. Went into the BIOS. It shows the disk. Restart computer. 6. Went into administrative tools->disk management->got pop-up, The pop-up asks me what style of partition i would like. Either, MBR (Master Boot Recor) or GPT (GUID Partition Table) Partition Styles. I selected MBR->clicked Okay. I have attached a screenshot. 7. i still do not see my hard drive in my computer. How can i format my hard drive? or is it already formatted? if so why can't I use it?

next time, u should put in ur sig ur an IT expert as well so members can just pm u. that way u might be able to answer their needs quicker haha.
thats just stating the obvious... but u usually just go and buy a new one... in a sense... it does solve the issue LOL
Nah.. I usually fix computer issues but if it's really unfixable.. then i'll have to order parts.. I rarely have new parts for my computer.. mostly reusing parts from old machines.
