Nicholas Tse (謝霆鋒), Yumiko Cheng (鄭希怡) and Fan Bingbing (范冰冰) were the guests at the launch of a luxury property complex in Chengdu yesterday, attracting quite a crowd of local fans.

After a tour of the grand apartments, each around 7000 square metres and costing a seven figure sum, Nicholas and Yumiko were asked if they were interested in buying one for themselves.

Yumiko said that she had heard from Nicholas that Chengdu was very beautiful and she would like to come back again soon.

Nicholas revealed that he would consider buying one of these properties because he would like to have the giant pandas as neighbours. He added that the environment was very refreshing and comfortable.

Keen to return to his family, Nicholas rushed off to the airport straight after the event, passing off the opportunity to try the local spicy hotpot delicacy. However, his plane was delayed for several hours due to the typhoon.

Chengdu Daily reported that Nicholas has close links with the area, making donations that have sponsored the education of fifty local children from poor families. It also noted an earlier quote from Nicholas, who had referred to Chengdu as "half a home" to him.
