According to the Hong Kong media, Hong Kong actor Nick Cheung attended a charity race in Shanghai yesterday. During the second round of the race, the first-time racer collided with actors Bosco Wong and Kate Tsui -- who were both leading during the first round -- near a bend. The heavy impact drove all three cars out of the race tracks. The left side of Kate's race car's bonnet was dented and Bosco's car was severely damaged. Fortunately, they were not injured. However, both of them were forced to withdraw from the race after the collision. Nick, on the other hand, raced on. A safety car was deployed to lead the third round, as Bosco's damaged car blocked the tracks after the accident. However, Nick overtook the safety car, thus violating the racing rules. Although the actor was third to cross the finishing line, he was penalised for flouting the rules. Thirty seconds were added to his total time. In the end, Nick finished at 8th position. During the prize-giving ceremony, Nick felt sorry for the collision he had caused. "This is my first race. I felt helpless, but exhilarated at the same time. It seemed that all the other cars kept some distance from me," he joked. Kate commented, "Bosco and I were joking before the race, talking about competing to be the last in the game. Thanks to Nick, Bosco and I really came in last." Creds: xinmsn
