After becoming a successful television producer, Nicky Wu (吳奇隆) is now looking forward to making his mark in the music industry. Recently, Nicky arrived in Hong Kong to attend a press conference for Paco Wong’s (黃柏高) Sun Entertainment Culture. Nicky announced that he will be collaborating with Paco to establish a new record label, called “Sun Power”. On why he decided on investing in the project, he explained that he was introduced to different business environments when he was working as a producer in mainland China, and believes that the music industry has potential. Sun Entertainment is known for managing the careers of Fiona Sit (薛凱琪) and girl group As One. Yesterday’s press conference was a ceremony to welcome Andy Hui (許志安), Stephy Tang (鄧麗欣), Pang Ho Cheung (彭浩翔), and Derek Tsang (曾國祥), among others, who have recently signed with Sun Entertainment. Interested in releasing an album sometime in the future, Nicky said, “My focus will still be on producing television dramas and films. When it comes to music, I will leave it to Paco and the new record label. That way I can save some time and not have to work as much.” Asked if he plans on using the saved time to go on dates with girlfriend Cecilia Liu (刘诗诗), Nicky joked, “That again?” but answered that they “are doing very well now” while dodging marriage questions. Nicky added that he has no time to go on dates with Cecilia, joking that Cecilia would have book a time to see him due to his busy schedule. “I spend ten months in a year filming dramas. Now I also have music projects, but we will try to accommodate each other.” Suggesting that Cecilia should duet with him in a future song, Nicky said, “I’ll see what the company thinks, but she is under a different record label.” Fiona Sister Doesn’t Think She’s The “Number-One Sister” One of Sun Entertainment’s most popular acts, Fiona Sit joined the company in 2012. Reports claimed that Stephy Tang’s introduction into Sun Entertainment would threaten Fiona’s spot as the company’s number-one sister, but Stephy denied, “Don’t say stuff like that. I’m not young anymore. Now I just want to make friends. I don’t want to be the big sister, but I will set the big sister [Liza Wang] as my target.” Fiona said, “First off, I love Stephy. The label ‘big sister’ can really set people apart.” Fiona doesn’t believe that new artists joining Sun Entertainment would spread company resources too thinly, saying, “My responsibility is to just sing and act well.” Creds: Oncc
