Thursday, June 01, 2006, Hong Kong Last night, Niki Chow (周麗淇) held a concert and invited rumor boyfriend, Kevin Cheng (鄭嘉穎) as her encore presentation guest. Despite having rumors flying about between the 2, Niki and Kevin held hands and sang their song from TVB’s series, “Under the Canopy of Love” (天幕下的戀人). A group fans had a representative that came out and place 7 big assorted-color bouquets of flowers on the floor, surrounding Niki and Kevin together, while singing Kevin’s song “A Thousand I Do,” to Niki! Are the fans just trying to tell Niki how Kevin truly feels? But Niki disagrees, as she thinks it’s just the effects from watching them act as an onscreen couple. Earlier there were magazines published that said Kevin spent the night at Niki’s house, and took a taxi home the next morning. Niki denied and said, “I didn’t read it [magazines]. So I’m not going to worry about it. I didn’t know he took a cab, and besides, what does that have to do with me! We are just good friends, good colleagues.” Is there a chance that you might develop a relationship with him? “I don’t think so. Fate is everything. If decided that the opposite party is not compatible, then it’s not.” Besides Kevin, Niki has also invited good friends, Pong Lan (藍奕邦) and Lily Hong (康子妮) as her guests as well. As Niki was playing games with her fans and handed out prizes, one male fan came and hugged her! Surprised, Niki jumped back but a representative later explained that there’s a whole procedure that needs to go through before could hug any male fans. Having looked a lot paler and skinnier during her concerts nights, Niki later explained that pressures from the concert is making her thin. Plus, she's been suffering from stomach cramps that caused her to seek for immediate medical attentions.” During Niki’s concert, members of her music label showed up: her boss, Mr. Loh & his wife and Jade Kwan. Jerry Lamb and Kathy Chow were also present as well. During the post concert celebration, Niki wanted to thank her sister, Kathy, for showing despite knowing how busy she is. About the negative rumors between the 2 sisters, Niki said, “I’m not going to worry about it. There are so many negative rumors going that aren’t even true!
