^ yes. canon and nikon both have good models and bad models. you cant just go "which brand is better". you gotta have a criteria. which brand and model is the best when shooting _______ (which you provided) or with this much level of experience etc.
Next rule, creating mini 1 line posts/replies to bring up post count should also be banned. If you are interested enough to look at a EOS 1Ds and a Nikon D2xs, then you should already know enough about photograph to not have to ask. You would also realize that the 1Ds Mark I is 4 years older than the D2xs :\
I personally have a canon, but nikon is juz as good to my knowledge, both are japanese brands and cheap, u cant go wrong with either.
Canon probably better in my opinion. I have a Nikon digitial camera and now I want to get the Canon one cause most of my friends said its a good band.
erm im not too sure to be honest but it really depends on what you want the camera for and how you going to use it becuase if its for like just genderal use then i think canon does the job as nikkon is more expensive ithink not entirely sure
brand doesn't mean a thing. its like asking "oh which ones better? ontario milk or quebec milk? theyre all the same. they come from a cow. it depends on the situation you want to use your camera in. see? bbear took the words right out of my mouth. -worship
Personally, it goes like this. Canon for ease of use. Nikon for more advanced. For the most basic pictures, the quality doesn't differ too much. (Depends on the auto focus and how steady your hands are) Personally, I own a Sony Cybershot DSC - T9, So I can't speak too much about experience. But the previous canon digital camera I owned was simple and easy to use. (Sorry, Don't remember the camera model)
I have a canon and a Fujifilm camera. I have to say that Canon is better built and is of a higher quality. I've never owned a Nikkon though. Canon to me has more ease of use compared to the Fujifilm.
I love my nikon coolpix camera. its thin for all the features u get and its not priced that bad for what your getting.
the D2xs hands down... however most of the features are pretty advanced, u really need to read the manual closely when u buy a DSLR. Im personally contemplating purchasing a Canon Rebel XTi as its probably the most well rounded basic consumer DSLR... if i had the money though, i would probably spring for a Nikon D80.
If you post some details as to what exactly you will be using the camera for or things that you are looking for, it would be much easier to give an opinion. Canon's tend to be all-rounders while Nikon's are better known for their lens quality especially in the macro department.
Really depends.... 1. What is your main purpose for the camera first of all? 2. How much are you willing to spend? 3. Business or just pleasure? Personally, I like Canon, I have 2 Canons my whole life and they were/are great. SD630--really good, I had a 35mm canon before the digital cameras showed up. Nikon never had one but used them for work before and they are also good. Their professional slrs are very good but $$$$. If you want to use the camera for fun and free use stick with Canon but they also make good professional cameras. Both are well either way. Ask a professional. Dont touch olympus or sony (i dont know about sony. now i hear they make very good cameras now, I had a digital one and it broke after 2 uses (sad).) (whisper go for Canon)
um..it depends on wat purpose ur camara is use for...easy carry n use: go for canon, it works well specially in da dark; professional use: Nikon with no doubt!
