ATV invited Nnadia Chan Chung Ling to record the Cantonese theme song for the Korean series. During the recording yesterday, ATV's executive manager, Yip Ka Bo, arrived to greet Nnadia and openly expressed that ATV would like to pursue future opportunities with her. Nnadia had completed her contract with TVB and is a free artist now. Nnadia enjoys her freedom in choosing projects, "I currently do not have any contracts with a television studio nor music label. I feel free, like a clean slate! " Did ATV express interest in signing Nnadia as one of their artists? "Sincerity is the most important factor. If there are good opportunities, anything is possible!" "But we have not discussed any contracts at this point. Today is only the start of our first collaboration!" Is Nnadia concerned about TVB's possible resentment towards her collaboration with ATV, thereby prohibiting any chance to return to TVB in the future? "No I don't believe this will happen with TVB. Unlike the past, today's artists are much more international and they can work with many different collaborators." Ms. Fong didn't request Nnadia to sign an artist contract? "At the time of the contract negotiation, I had to leave Hong Kong due to touring requirements for musical 'Snow Wolf.' I have been traveling frequently to various locations and have just returned from Singapore." Nnadia feels fortunate that she will be singing the theme song for Korean series 《朱蒙》! The ratings for this drama was very high, so it is a good start for 2007! Korean series 《朱蒙》cost more than $300 million Korean Won to produce. Since its broadcast, its ratings have even superceded blockbuster "Jewel in the Palace!" Originally only 60 episodes were intended, but due to the great ratings, another 20-30 episodes may be added. ATV will be holding it s 50th anniversary celebration on May 29th. Hopefully the cast of 《朱蒙》will be able to attend then!
