norton..to be honest.. most of the internet security files make your computer way slow.. like kaspersky... no point of having internet security... well thats my opinion..

Ive had good experience with Norton internet Security.
However, it has a nasty reputation for taking up resources, not playing well with other apps and sometimes a pain in the ass to remove.

haha...i tried to use a hack version of it once...lol...

i also installed the internet explorer 7 but also had to remove it cause it didnt work properly...maybe i wait for the patch...

could be that the it "clashed"with my sympatico firewall/antivirus etc etc.

Norton is known to clash with other security apps.
Best not to run two AV apps as they can cross scan each other and conflicts can arise.

I have no clue as to why they do that, no one will actually run all 3 at the same time and its not good to do so. They'll most likely conflict with each other and possibly render their "scan" useless.

  9. I'm running trial version right now too.. I dunno is it that bad? seems like I dont really need it.. but at the same time.. kinda gives me a peace of mind..

but uhh would I even need norton anti-virus if I got internet security? cause that pretty much scans for viruses as well..

norton anti virus comes as part of norton internet security.

    o. there is a reason :)

basically, the sympatico antivirus is only availalbe to me at home...e,g. it is connected to the service provider for updates...and shit...

so when I go to a hotspot (free internet) ..I;m not protected from the latest virus...so that is wher norton comes in....that is the idea...got to figure out if the provider antivirus is protable now ...

u sure it only protects u at home....generally its always running in the background actively scanning and protecting your system...connection to sympatico is only required for definition updates..but that wont interfere with its active scanning no matter where you are...

It depends on your computer. If you have say 2 gb or more of ram it won't lag no matter what. But Some people have older comps with only 512 mb of ram. Also, many people like to multi task with their computers. Bittorrent, movie conversion, burning anime and other various activities, so they have very little computer resources for Norton.
