NOT sure to be angry or happy?

    I took my Dad to an eye specialist today and this Asian doc walked in to greet us .. then he asked me, "how old is your grandfather now?" .. WTF .. I said NO ... then he said another dumb thing .. "oh, you look like a teenager and your dad is in his 80 already" .. WTF .. I LOOK LIKE A KID .. how stupid is that .. especially coming from an Asian doc .. don't Azn typically look younger than their age .. sigh...

    I always get questions from job about my age since I look younger and taking on exec position but from an Azn doc .. hmmm

    and hey i dun mind people saying i look younger...take it was a compliment...:)

    i just hate it more when im asked for my id and i dun have it with me...=/

    yep, asians look younger depending tho. show us a pic of you than lol, you will get two judements from me.

    a kid look or wanabe young look lol.

    you look like you are in your 20's. so its the wanabe young look. lols. maybe you look different in reality but that is what i think from your picture.

    lol my pediatrician always said I look the same as I did when I was a baby which is not true. LOL and he always brags about how he was two Miss Hong Kong winners' pediatrician and blah blah blahhhhh. "Katie, maybe one day you will join the contest too!" Me: :wtf: Nope.

    lol, I get annoyed when people are trying to compliment my mother by saying we look like sisters. Then I go, "so are you saying she looks young or I look old?"

    My cousin is in her 30s and she looks younger than me. She still gets carded.

    ^ i was thinking the same .. personally, i feel the doc shouldn't have said anything that is known to be potentially offensive - age, race, sex, or religion. should've just see the patient; talk about the condition, and bye ... simple as that.

    some docs are very smart individuals but they don't know how to social so whatever come from their mouth sometimes can be offensive; just not knowing it.

    I missed the pic so I can't comment if you look younger.

    Asian doctors are like other asians where they may take their familiarity beyond propriety; but, take it as a compliment. My mom and I are mistaken as sisters and I don't know if I should ask "do I look older?" or does my mom "look younger". =]

    not a good 'people' doctor. As they say, docs need to have good bedside manners. In this case, he did not or he could't care less. Change docs ...if that's possible.
