I personally would go with nVidia. I don't wanna deal with crappy drivers ATI supplies.

It used to be that ATI in it's earlier days, have pretty bad drivers written for their earlier graphics cards...

I'm using a Radeon 9660 powered one and so far, I've yet to encounter any problem with the recent driver.

ATI x1900xt series beats the equivalent nvidia 7900GTX, but Ive always used nvidia. I think ATI are slightly better for gaming.
check out the reviews for the particular card you want is the best way to choose. There are tonnes of reviews out there

i think ATI single 1900 beats out 7900 but in SLI i think the nvidia is better. check the more hardcore tech review sites.

I think the x1900xt crossfire beats the 7900GTX in SLI

its a never ending cycle. ATI will eventually overtake Nvidia, which will eventually regain the title, only to lose it again.
    ATI 9XXX series > Nvidia 5XXX
    Nvidia 6XXX series > ATI 9XXX series
    ATI X8XX series > Nvidia 6XXX series
    Nvidia 7XXX series > ATI X8XX series
    ATI X1XXXX series > Nvidia 7XXX series
and the trend will continue forever as long as there is innovation.

Yeh but whos going to buy quad sli, unless your a tech maniac or crazy. The standard cards, ATI usually wins out in the end. But i still stick with nvidia

Even if you were to have quad SLI, it would be useless because no processor in the market is fast enough to not cause massive bottlenecking which makes having 4 cards useless. Plus, a SLI build would need a 1kw power supply would means $$$$$ electricity bill.

i'd go for nvidia since sli is my time of comp rig. crossfire is a start for ati into multi graphics card setup, but sli has proven tops.
