Jade Kwan (關心妍), Bosco Wong (黃宗澤) and Sonija Kwok (郭羨妮) were guests at an Olympic Games welcoming event at Mongkok's McPherson Playground yesterday, hosted by MC's Carlo Ng (吳家樂) and Koni Lui (呂慧儀).

Koni has received some good reviews from her performance in TVB's new series Catch Me Now <原來愛上賊>, with her bikini scenes particularly memorable. She had also been given a lot of positive feedback from viewers stating that she come's across natural in her debut performance. She denies that she stole the spotlight during her first scene by wearing a bikini. She stated it was required for the storyline and she doesn’t mind giving sex appeal. Koni expresses that she has at least 3 more scenes where she wears a bikini. One of the scenes was filmed in a busy market area. This has given her the confidence to be able to wear a bikini in any atmosphere.

Sonija appeared at the event in riding gear to tie in with the theme of the equestrian events for the Beijing games being held in Hong Kong. She revealed that her kit was her own and she had learned to ride when she was 15 years old, so she is still able to jump a 3 ft gate. She also spoke of how she has fallen from the horse on a few occasions, but fortunately has not suffered any major injuries. However, she has learned that horse-riding is a dangerous sport that required the greatest of care and skill.

Sonija also expressed her wish to go and watch some of the equestrian events as well as the gymnastics and diving events.

Jade spoke of how honoured she was to take part in singing the official Olympic theme song "We Are Ready" when the Olympic flame arrives in Hong Kong on Friday. She revealed that she will be taking part in ten more Olympic-related events in different districts. She added that she was very happy and excited to play her part for her country.
