Not content with exporting billions of products every year, China has stepped up its game and has prioritized the construction of a new 253 acre airport capable of importing 53 million tourists a year. It will be finished construction by next year, ready for the massive influx of passengers coinciding with the beginning of the olympic games. With high tech, environmentally friendly design, it is expected to minimize energy consumption and carbon emissions (hopefully taking the eyes of the international community off the massive sesspools of smog and carbon dioxide that are shanghai and beijing for atleast a few weeks while the olympic games take place). pics from http://blog.scifi.com/tech/archives/2007/10/04/chinas_crazy_ne.html?p=5&cat=undefined
at a first glance it looked pretty dope... then when you take a closer look.. it looks like an elaborate spoon. maybe china's getting sick of chop sticks =(
wow... china has really step it up all these years. Good for them. But unfortunately, some countries will grew jealous and start invading china....... but who knos.... China IS a super-power; no one would dare to take them head on.
Looks cool like a futuristic space ship, but hope it will be build with high quality material and skills 'cuz no one wants an airport drama.
