The popular drama On Air will come to Hong Kong sometime in the near future. A TVB official revealed they had come to an agreement to buy On Air’s broadcasting rights. On Air will be scheduled to air at the most appropriate time. If possible, TVB will also invite the main cast Kim Ha Neul, Song Yoon Ah, Park Yong Ha, and Lee Bum Soo to Hong Kong for promotions. On Air was first broadcasted in March on SBS and was loved by the Korean audience. In June 2008, the drama was also introduced in Japan and received good feedback from them. A few On Air’s outdoor scenes were filmed in Taiwan, which helped them attracting more tourists. Unfortunately, local Taiwanese viewers aren’t interested in Korean dramas in general. As a result, none of the Taiwanese Broadcasters is willing to pay a large amount of money to buy the broadcasting rights for On Air. Hong Kong itself is not big on broadcasting Korean dramas as well.
