I've been offered a pretty sweet price for a brand new N96 by a friend of mine. I was wondering if it's a good phone, and what are some advantages/disadvantages of it? I've read reviews and stuff, but I don't know anyone that actually owns the phone. Curious about the battery life as my dad has the N95 8 gb model, and he's always complaining about its poor battery life. I'll use most of the features, like wifi, web music etc. Except that stream TY function. Anyone recommend a cheaper phone/better one then the N96? I currently have a brick and really looking to update to a new phone. Been offered a price of 550 AUD, which is like half the RRP here. Only downside is its only got a 3 month warranty, but I'm still trying to sus out why Cheers
it's ok as a phone, my friend has it but his phone has stopped working now. it's basically the same as the nokia n95 8gb to be honest and battery life is about the same as that, doesn't offer any significant upgrade to the nokia n95 8gb apart from the extra memory, it's better built slightly on the slider but battery cover is a bit loose, but not enough to justify the price increase at which they sell it at. i guess, if u can get it for cheap then u can go for it. but personally it just depends on what ur needs are. if ur going to use wifi on the phone, expect to charge it everyday cos wifi uses a lot of battery life. personally, i don't like the n96, i find the design rather brick like anyway and it doesn't offer that much in terms of what i want with a phone for it's price.
i've heard that the n96 has very poor battery life, requiring you to charge it every single day without fail (considering the 950 mAh, it will definately not last you long). Personally I prefer other phones over this, with similar or better features. However, whether you will like to hear my list is up to you (so for the time being i'll keep quiet )
