TVB actor, Oscar Leung’s (梁烈唯) acting skills have long been acknowledged. His popularity rose higher after the broadcast of L’Escargot <缺宅男女>. However, Oscar’s confession about a delinquent past may have had an adverse affect on Oscar's image to some fans’ minds. To his horror, Oscar learned that the latest rumors about him says he was involved in a rape case!

Oscar said helplessly, “Initially, the gossips were sexual harassment. Then it evolved into sexual harassment and beating. Now it grew into a rape rumour!”

Oscar wished he could laugh off the negative rumors, he was worried that the public could believe the rumors to be real, affecting his image badly. Oscar’s family and friends started to call him to convey their concerns.

Oscar was unclear how the defamatory rumors started. “I felt very stressed and was very unhappy.” He felt helpless that such a prank would warped into such serious accusations. Oscar felt that it was time to tell the media his side of the story before the public believe the rumors to be true.

“To this date, nobody has approached me regarding the issue,” Oscar pointed out. He thought of going to the Hong Kong police to ask if any complaints were being filed against him.

TVB Backs Oscar: Origin of Rape Rumours Are Unclear

TVB Deputy Director of External Affairs, Tsang Sing Ming, was also uncertain as to how Oscar Leung’s name have become linked to an incident at a bar on May 4th. Mr. Tsang said, “Oscar Leung’s manager said that he was working in a new film during that time, so he had absolutely no time to go to a bar!” Mr. Tsang added, if Oscar was truly involved in the incident, the authorities would have already contacted him.

After completing The Confidant <大太監>, where he portrayed the Emperor, Oscar will also star in new TVB legal drama, Justice Attack <法網狙擊>. The star-studded cast includes Michael Tse (謝天華), Tavia Yeung (楊怡), Sharon Chan (陳敏之), Louis Yuen (阮兆祥), Alice Chan (陳煒), Mandy Wong (黃智雯), Vincent Wong (王浩信), and JJ Jia (賈曉晨).

This dude works extremely hard to reach where he is today, then someone out there tries to destroy it.

I enjoy watching Oscar in his series, even more than the male lead in some.

Everyone has a past. They should just get over how he was before and look at him how he is now. He's a good actor.

There was an article about him like a few months back.. saying he didn't get enough jobs so he had a part-time as well.

Now he's getting more recognization due to L'Escargot.. he's getting better roles. I actually like this guy.. pretty funny when he does comedy.
