    Looking good for no country for old men or there will be blood for best picture, with them the only ones with editing nomination

    Half of those films came out at the wrong time and either was over-publicized (and underwhelmed me, such as "Michael Clayton" and "Eastern Promises") or didn't get wide released at all (such as "There will be blood")

    But yeh, it's been a slow year... Not a lot of exciting films... And I have yet to see "I'm not there"...

    WTF, why was Persepolis got the best animation nomination? I thought it was also France's submission to best foreign film... But seriously Counterfeiters is a somewhat pathetic film to be considered best foreign... GUH.

    Well then...

    Persepolis for best animated film!!! Because it was an awesome film which happens to be of the animation format (it would have done perfectly fine in the best foreign category... But guess the Academy people left their collective brains in East Hampton)
