In view of the recent attack in Mumbai, should the US and other "civilized" nations, take extra judicial means (that is, do things that are against the law) in their efforts to stop international terrorism? Yes or no, and comment on why.
i would have to say no, not under any circumstance this isn't like playground rules... this is the world we are putting up a display for... set the right image.
Aren't we (the different countries' secret services) doing the (semi-)illegal stuff already (secretly)?
No, if they do things against the law then whats the use in having laws? i think US in particular should stay outta this... why does US gotta interfere with everything... their not the police of the world it happened in bloody india... is this another excuse to keep their soldiers busy? I mean its not like india doesnt have enuff ppl to fight their own war STAY THE HELL OUTTA THIS BLOODY US
US is still the only real superpower nation of the would. So with the usual Spiderman qoute "With great power comes great responsibility." they should fly around "fixing" the problems of the world. It could discuss wherever they the countries with problem should ask for help first or US should take the initiativ but it depends on the situation.
u do know terrorists usually target u.s citizens first and this one was after u.s/british citizens i think, now say a country like iran is willing to harbor and support terrorists secretively just so they could attack the u.s what do u think they should do?
what are u talkin bout but i would say yes... i mean not to the extent of nuking all possible hide out homes for terriorsts, but just stuff that borderlines the inhumane acts a country might do. i mean, with the support of the world, theres no way we can lose against terroists, but with the restrictions we've been impounded on its pretty hard as we try to avoid as much bloodshed as possible which is hard to invade certain places. but then again, i realy dono much about this issue, but is waiting to see what happens in the next yr or so as obama takeso ver
They aimed at the foreigner first is (also) because that will give headlines in newspapers around the world. Not many outside Indian will know if they killed indians as they did before (because that is not "news"), just like "suicide bomber killed 5-10 in Irac" will only give it a little spot on the egde of a newspaper. Sad but mainly true. In the iranian case i think US should negotiate, like the president-to-be Obama said during the election. The results are probaly zero, but this is the way people should do instead of starting a (another) war.
