WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 21, 2009 (GMT-05:00) EASTERN TIME (US & CANADA) 3 PM (This does not mean it is closed forever, some day, we will probably need more or we can always use you for future reference, so, don't be afraid to APPLY!) And remember to TUNE INTO PA RADIO NOW! Ok, I know this thread might be useless to some members but I just want to let members know what is going on with PA Radio. I know Ang has said the PA Radio was suppose to die on January 2, 2009 but it has not and also it can die.. anytime, we don't know when. The server is still available, and since the server is available, we can use it and assure our listeners some entertainment for the time being. We have acquired a few new Hosts/DJ's to help do that for us. The list will be posted below but I also know a few that would like to become a Host/DJ as well. I know we already have a thread for that but as for a new fresh start, we can start it in here. Well, I don't know how this will go but that's good that we can have more Hosts/DJ's, incase some of the them are unable to. Once again, this is for recent new Hosts/DJ's, old ones or used to be one will not be listed, unless you're still actively hosting or djing. If you've applied, I will review you once I have enough Hosts/DJ's that will apply. If you're interested on applying or becoming a Host/DJ, make a post below. But before you do that, you must have the certain requirements or at least near it, in order to become one. The requirements and format of how to apply will be posted below. But I don't think we need too much Hosts/DJ's as of now but we still need a couple more. We will have you apply anyways and we can probably use you for a future reference. Requirements -Must have a fast connection (Cable or DSL Connection) -Must have more than 1000+ songs (Chinese, Korean, or Japanese) -Must be able to speak English, Cantonese, or Mandarin -Must be able to host for a couple of hours or more (Preferably 24 hours, 1 Whole Day!) -Must have a clear/good microphone -Must be dedicated (We Are Serious About This!) How to Apply -Name -Desired DJ Name -Age -Location -Tell Us About Yourself (Hobbies, Type of music you listen to, Why you want to become an Host/DJ, and Anything you think we should know about) -You can PM me the info (Above - Preferably), if you feel that you don't like to post it on this thread. yo...i think there's a difference between host and playlisting lol..hosting as in a real live show and playlisting just playing music .. pa needs some prgrams with live dj on mic =)
yeh we're kinda thinking bout what we could possibly do for a live program show type thing... hopefully come up with like an hour long show or something every weekend to be realistic...
kdotc, I know what you mean but by my way, Hosts = Playlisters & DJ's = Microphone/Real Live Show. Aoes, that idea sounds great but the PA Radio can die today or anytime, you never know. Therefore, I was thinking of letting the Host/DJ become an playlister but if they want to use their microphone, they are allowed to. But your idea might work out though.
Im waitin for these random shows to happen... is there som sorta schedule to see who's hosting at what time.... Once my inet is fixed i dont mind playlisting again.....like one or 2 days a week if needed
Hm, well, I'd rather have an schedule show. So, PA will know when to tune in for the fun! But as for the schedule for the Hosts/DJ's, I will figure it out, once we have enough Hosts/DJ's. xmichelly, sure, you're always invited and also, we will figure out a way to have people make shoutouts during a show. We can use Skype, Ventrilo or something that will work out.
