tbh lcd and plasma are very similar in quality these days, it is rele down to personal preference unless u live in higher altitude areas whereby lcd wins bcos plasma tvs are not clear in high altitudes. also lcds do last longer so prob get an lcd.
apparently plasmas use more energy than lcds. I happen to know they emit far more heat than lcd, which if what they teach you in science at school is true is wasted energy. also plasmas may suffer from some sort of image burn if an image is displayed for a long time e.g. channel logo. ... or so ive heard.
you get better contrast ratio with plasmas but with current LCDs its not bad and what everyone else said plus LCDs are cheaper generally, so I choose LCDs
They've already fixed the burn in problem, that was when it first came out I believe, correct me if I'm wrong though.
thats not true, for me lcds generally tend to be cheaper. also i tend to find that most tvs tend to be lcd these days and only a few are plasmas. usually its the larger screens which are plasmas.
well they have both got to the stage where they are the same and there isnt much of a differentce in price or detail moon
ye like i sed its pretty much opinion now rather than anything else. so it would be down to ur personal preference but remember even though u have tvs which are plasma and lcd, the quality vary from each tv so if ur getting a tv at the end of the day, u should always check out the quality of the image before buying.
